5 Things Non-Texans Just Don’t Get
Texans, including the Lewisville attorneys at Steele Law, P.C., are hardcore homelanders. You just won’t find people in any other state that have the same magnitude of pride Texans have in The Lone Star State, and for good reason. We have the best barbecue, the nicest people, a wide variety of beautiful terrain, and a whole lot more. We also have a unique set of knowledge and quirks in behavior that make up the Texan way – a way of life only true Texans can understand. If you’re familiar with the tidbits below, then you are most certainly a Texan.
Queso is Liquid Gold, Not Just Melted Cheese
You may find “chips and queso” on menus in restaurants outside of Texas. However, if you decide to order it, you’re most likely going to be presented with stale chips and a cup full of melted yellow cheese, the kind that coagulates after a few cold minutes. That is not chips and queso, it is an abomination. Real queso, which is an original Tex-Mex creation, involves melted cheese of various kinds, cream, and chili peppers. The combination makes an addictive, hot, and velvety smooth dipping sauce you could drink right out of a glass (not recommended for your health).
